Wedding Wednesday: What is more important to you?

Oh my, May is knocking at the door! I can hear the wedding songs, fireworks, and babies screaming because they don’t want to smile. Today’s Wedding Wednesday is all about how important a service is to you.

Kelsey, what do you mean? Everything about my wedding is important to me.

Hear me out and by the end of this post, you may see a different perspective, and save yourself some big bucks.

When you picture the wedding of your dreams, what is the first thing that you envision? Is it a beautiful gown? What about the best photographer in town? When working with a budget, you want to make sure that you have money for the things that are the most important to you.

Here is an example; music is everything to me, I live and breath for music. So having the perfect DJ to play my perfect wedding songs was a must. Something else that was very important to me was the photographer. I am going to see and share those picture for the rest of my life. So guess what I spent good money on? If you guessed the DJ and photographer, then you would be right.

With that being said, I saved money by not having a videographer, because I had a photographer. I saved a ton of money on a venue because we got married outside.  I also saved money on food because my family made it. There are a ton of different examples that I could share with you, but we would be here all day.

So make a list of what you HAVE to have at the wedding and spend your money on that.

Wedding Wednesday

This is a very exciting time of the year for me, I love the feeling of starting fresh! Getting a chance to step up my game and make things happen for myself. If you haven’t read the “About Me” page, you totally should. Over there I tell you a little bit more about my personal life. I also share a little fact that I am a licensed Wedding and Event Planner.

Yes, that’s right. Weddings, birthdays, gender reveal, you name it! I love creating something out of nothing. I think that’s why I love blogging so much. One of my goals this year is to really bring in some traffic to my party planning business. One of my dreams for this year is to be in a Bridal Show! I can just imagine how gorgeous the set up is going to be. Very Modern and Shabby Chic at the same time. Ughhh. Gorgeous.

Loving Plans was inspired by a Facebook career quiz five years ago.

In the spirit of chasing my reality, I am introducing Wedding Wednesday’s to the blog! It’s going to be all about weddings, and some tips and tricks to saving money! I will also share some photos of my previous events so that you can get some inspiration.

To start the first Wedding Wednesday off right, my biggest tip for weddings is to DIY everything! From the decor to the food, you can save so much money by doing it all yourself. If you are not really the crafty type, find someone who is. You would be surprised at what can come of $5 and items from the dollar store! If you would like to find out, make sure that you are following my blog, I may just have challenged myself!

If you know someone that is getting married, make sure to share this post with them, I can answer any questions they may have. I love weddings, the first wedding that I ever planned was my own. I loved everything from the cake tastings to choosing this gorgeous dress! It’s just my thing. Want to know something cool and a money saver? My grandma made my veil! Her making it was not only affordable but also special because it came from her.

Another big tip for saving money on a wedding is to give yourself plenty of time to plan the event. If you give yourself 3 months to plan a huge wedding, you are going to need money right then and there to pay for everything. If you plan your wedding within a span of 1-2 years, you are allowing time to save, buy things here and there, and make payments on services.

I hope that this post was helpful, even just a little. Look forward to many more fun posts this year. For more wedding photos, you can check out Loving Plans on Instagram or Facebook. If you are in the Bakersfield area and need an event service, feel free to message me on any social media, and get your free consultation!

Wedding Wednesday!

Hello everyone! I have just a few updates on the wedding. Nothing too crazy, but just enough to share. Before I get into all of that I want to stop and take a minute to say welcome to all of you who are just not stumbling on to my blog. I hope that you enjoy this post and follow me! I follow back. I also follow on all of my other social media! Twitter is the best way to get a hold of me. For any collaborations, I will link my email down below. Let’s get on with the updates.

First I want to share that 5 out of 7 girls have bought their dress and shoes! I am going to have to say, that is a pretty good number and they bought them all the same day. It was so easy and I have to thank David’s Bridal for making it all happen! I went with two different dresses; one for my maid of honor and the other for my bridesmaids. The color of the MOH is petal and the other girls dresses are going to be like a dark grey. Here are the styles. Modeling for us today is my baby sister, I love her!  The dress on the right is the style that my MOH will be wearing and the other style is for my BM. Let me know what you all think? I fell in love with these dresses as soon as I laid my eyes on them and they looked so good with the shoes I picked out. The ladies that worked there were so helpful and the manager was amazing. I am really glad that I chose David’s.

Next up I have the shoes, absolutely gorgeous. At first I had my mind set on converse, but the moment I seen these, everything changed. I want my girls to feel comfortable and not cause a domino effect as we all walk down the isle. Since I am not wearing heels, why make my girls wear them?  Here they are, the lace is going to go so well with the lace on the dress. Hopefully I can find some lace converse to go with my dress! If you haven’t seen my dress I will link the blog Here.

I am still in search for a veil, headpiece and a hair style for myself. I did find the hairstyle that I want my girls to rock!  I think an up do like this one is going to be amazing! I just love how they look so elegant. Please feel free to let me know what you think! Any suggestions and tips I am willing to listen! I am constantly on Pinterest doing research, so if you would like to see what I pin, follow me. I will have all of my social media listed below. I hope all of you have an amazing day!

That is going to be all for my updates, like I said beforenot a lot, but just enough! Please like comment and follow! I follow back and keep in touch. I love making new friends.

Wedding Wednesday!

Hello my lovelies! Today’s blog is going to be a little shorter than the rest. I haven’t done anymore planning yet. I did go to a bridal show this past weekend and had so much fun!! I won a couple of shirts that say hubby and wife, they are so cute! I did get a lot of business cards and fliers.  I do plan on making my own cake and cupcakes, so instead of having a normal bachelorette I think I am going to have all of my girls help with the baking and decorating. Does that sound like a good idea? I think it would make the cake so much more special. I will be going to look and hopefully put a deposit on the venue this weekend. I will be posting pictures on Twitter @kelseydawnprov1 if you follow me, you can get the inside scoop! Well that is all for this blog, I hope you all enjoyed! I want to hear about wedding plans that you have in mind!

Love you all! Xoxo

Wedding Wednesday!

Hello my lovelies and welcome to Wedding Wednesday! I am so excited, this is my second time writing about my wedding and I have so much to update you about! I finally got my fiancé to settle on a date and he finished his guest list!

Date: October 29, 2016

Theme: vintage

Colors: pastel pink, light yellow and grey

Here is an idea of the colors together.

It’s going to be an outdoor wedding, so fingers crossed that the weather goes well.

I may have found a venue for a great price. I am going on the 24th to check it out and hopefully put down a down payment.

We have most of our guest list together, I am meeting with my bridesmaids this weekend to make sure I didn’t leave anyone out.

Decoration wise I want to go with lots of fake pearls, old suitcases, empty picture frames, old books, vintage door knobs and maybe some skeleton keys!

I am definitely going to go with the postcards for save the date and invitations! Here are a few pictures that I have repinned on Pinterest. If you want to follow me, I am constantly pinning all kinds of stuff! My name is Kelsey Provencio on there.

I know this is kind of brave, but I am honestly thinking about making my own cake and cupcakes. I love baking and I love cake so why not do it myself! Plus I think it would same me so much money.

I have a photographer, she is my aunt and she is amazing! You can check out some of her work Here. I also have a DJ and a florist! The florist is my grandma and she will also be the person to give me away at my wedding. Her link is Here, she has so many beautiful pieces!

I still need to pick a date to go dress shopping, but I kind of have something in mind of what I want for myself and my girls. I also know that I will be wearing converse at my wedding because I will kill myself in heels!

Well so far that is what I have!!! Hopefully next Wednesday I will have so much more to update you on. Thank you so much for reading my blog! Feel free to follow me, like and comment. Also if you would like to follow me on social media I would love that! I’ll ha e the links below.
