Anti-Valentine’s Day Makeup

Dah dah dahhhhhh!!!!

Hello there, if you are reading this post, then obviously something caught your attention. Could it be the makeup? Or the fact that the title has the word ani in it? Well whatever it may be, I am glad that you stopped by!

Welcome everyone, I have created an anti-Valentine’s Day makeup look for all of you! I have been seeing this look being created all over YouTube. I had never seen this before this year and thought that it looked very interesting.  I hope that you enjoy it, if you have already created a version of this, I would love to see it! Make sure to tag me on Instagram @bakersfieldbeautyblogger.

If you want to figure out how I got this makeup look, then keep on reading!

For this eye look, I used two eyeshadow pallets; one being the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eyes pallet, and the other being the Urban Decay MoonDust. I just love both of these pallet, you can create all kinds of looks! If you don’t have either of these pallets, you can still create this look as long as you have some brow, black, and glitter eyeshadow!

This look is really easy, but it contains a lot of blending and is very time consuming. I do have to say that this look may seem scary, but don’t knock it until you try it! There is always a first time to try something new.

For any eyeshadow look, I like to start out with a light brown shadow in my crease, once that is blended out, I will slowly start to add black shadow on top of that brown. I make sure and  only apply a little of the black at a time. It is a lot easier to build it than to take it away.

Once the black shadow is to my liking and blended out, I am going to add the white shadow to my brow bone to give it a little pop!

Next I am packing on the glitter shadow of my choice to my lid. I am also being very careful when applying it. Glitter tends to get EVERYWHERE! I am sure that I am going to find glitter in my room two months from now.

Once I have the glitter as intense that I want it, I am going to wing out my liner.

Now it’s time to move on to the lower lash line. Since this look is very dark and mysterious, I added black liner in my water line. Then I took some black eyeshadow and ran it right underneath that liner.

I also took that same white shadow that I put on the brow bone, and popped it into the inner corner of the eyes. Since the eyeshadow is so dark, I want to brighten it just a little.

Once that is complete, it is time to throw on some lashes and get them ready for falsies.

Now it is time to pop on some false lashes and BAMM!!! I look good!

My choice of lip is LipLand Cosmetics “Retrograde”. This lip color is very dark and gives a meaning to the whole anti look!

I would like to thank you for reading this blog post! I am sorry that I have been away for a little while, life just keeps me busy. I love you all and will talk to you in my next blog. Xoxo.

The Unforgettable Makeup Look

I feel like Mondays should be dedicated to blogging. Monday is a day that I don’t want to do anything else aside from getting a post up for all of my beautiful readers. I just want to thank you all for keeping me interested and excited to create new fun looks for you all. I appreciate every single one of you.

Today I have created a look that can go two completely different ways. Same eye look, just two different lip colors. One very bold and the other is very light and fresh. This look I would definetly say is a night look, but if you really don’t care and are ready to step out of the box, you can rock this face any time of the day.

The Kat Von D Shade and Light Eyes Pallette

Blue Sephora Single Eyeshadow

Face wise I went full coverage, I’m talking color corrector, foundation, concealer and even a little baking under the eyes. For those of you who don’t know what I mean by the term “baking”, I will leave a Video explaining the entire thing!

Don’t forget to contour and highlight! If we are going all out, we need to make sure that we don’t skip one step. We need to look at flawless as possible, even if we look like something from a Tim Burton Movie. If you would like to see a post dedicated entirely to contouring, please let me know in the comments and I will be sure and get that up for you.

For my crease I used every single brown shade in this pallette. I’m not kidding, I started with the lightest shade, worked that into my crease and then moves on to the next. Feel free to make this look as dark or as light as you would like. I didn’t go in with any black in the crease, I saved that for the bottom lash line. I just want to put this out there for those of you that are unaware of how important this is, BLENDING is key. Make sure that all of your makeup is blended. I mean of corse if you like the choppy look, then have at it!

Once you get the intensity to your liking, I went ahead and winged out my liner. This step depends on your personal preference, like I said I went all out, so the wing was a must for me. My wings are far from perfect, but I am learning and getting better each time that I practice.

Now for the fun part! Your bottom lash line is going to be the main focus on the eyes. I took a black coal liner and smeared that baby all over, I even took it down to my lashes a little. With a very small brush I picked up the blue eyeshadow and smudged out all of the black. I went crazy and really went heavy with the black and blue. Just keep smudging and going back into the blue until you are satisfied.

Once you are happy all you have to do is apply mascara and even pop on some eyelashes. I didn’t apply any lashes because I wanted to show you all that makeup looks can be just as gorgeous without false lashes.

Now for lip options; Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Echo and Kylie Cosmetics in Heir.

If you are brave enough to rock the blue lip, I would say to go for it! If not a very light color lip would look just as amazing. Try something new every once in a while. You may be surprised at all of the different looks that you can pull off. I will have the link to both of these lips down below, be sure and check them out. Mini Sephora haul !

Hello my lovelies!!! Went to Sephora and picked up a couple things and thought I would share!

The first thing I picked up is this Nars Dual intensity blush! I have seen a few beauty gurus talk about this so I thought I would give it a shot.

The packaging is beautiful and it has a pretty good amount of product. This was $45 and I comes with a highlight and a blush. Here are some swatches!  A little does go a long way. The highlight kind of reminds me of Becca’s collaboration with Jaclyn Hill, Champagne Pop. Not as quite as gold, but almost there.

The next thing I picked up is Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. I have been dreaming of this for quite some time now.  This was $21.

I also wanted to get a felt lip liner, so I go the Sephora brand and I thought I would try it out. I will test in on my eyes and let you know what I think. I did swatch it on my hand and it bled out a little, but we will see. Fingers crossed. I paid $12.00 for the liner.

I had a few points saved up so I got the Dr.Brant age eraser kit.

And lastly they threw in a sample of a Clinique moisturizer lotion.

Well that’s all for my mini Sephora haul! I hope you all enjoyed it! Please follow, like and comment!!
