4 Must Have Makeup Palettes

Happy Makeup Monday! I hope that your liner is winged to the gods and your lipstick is on point. Today I am sharing my four favorite makeup palettes that I can’t live without! They are perfect for fall and have a multi-purpose use!

  1. The Kay Von D Alchemist Highlight Pallet. This pallet is an intense highlighting one, but it is the perfect inner corner highlight for the eyes! It makes you look like your eyes are glowing.
  2. The Urban Decay Naked Heat Pallet. I’m sure that you have heard of this bad boy before, especially if you are a makeup lover like myself. This gorgeous pallet has all of the warm tone shadows that you will ever need for fall. It is seriously the best!
  3. The Morphe X Kathleen Lights Eyeshadow Pallet. This little baby is a dream come true. It has a nice mix between cool and warm tone shadows. So many different looks can be created with this pallet.
  4. The Tartelette in the Bloom Pallet. This little guy is your perfect everyday eyeshadow pallet, but if you have dark hair like me, a couple of these shades can double as eyebrow powders. I love a twofer!

You can never have enough makeup palettes!

Let me know if you would like to read a part two! I would be happy to post it for another Makeup Monday!! Let me know if you have any of these and which ones are your favs!

Stay Confident.

Product Review: L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise

Happy Makeup Monday! One quick question, if you could only choose one makeup product to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be? If it’s mascara, you might want to go pick this one up! I love mascara, and this one just knocked more than half of them out of the park. Today I am reviewing the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara. The color that I picked up is blackest black.

The tube is pretty heavy duty, a chic light pink look. Just simply gorgeous! The wand is pretty big and reminds me of the Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced.

The mascara isn’t a wet consistency, it’s not dry, I feel as if it is perfect.

Moment of truth:

I rate this mascara a 5/5! It’s pretty amazing, as you can see for yourself. It gives me so much volume, length, and color payoff.

Have your tried this mascara? If so, do you like it?

Stay beautiful.

Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial

My first attempt at a step by step eye shadow tutorial.. not bad right? Hello everyone! I promised more makeup posts, so here you go!

This look is perfect for a party, special event, or just because! I hope that you enjoy!

The first thing that I do before any eyeshadow look, is prime my eyelids. This helps the eyeshadow stay longer and creates a nice clean base to start with.

Transition shades are always a good step. Light browns or skin tone eyeshadow are good transition colors. This step makes it easier to transition from a lighter shade of eyeshadow, into a darker shade. I make sure and blend the light brown like it’s no ones business.

Once that light brown is all blended, I went in with a deep cranberry color to blend right in with that first shade. I cannot tell you how important it is to blend. Keep on blending!

The step that helps create this smokey eye, is the dark outer corner. On a very small blending brush, I picked up some black eyeshadow and slowly started blending that into the outer V of the eye. I am making sure to take my time on this part, black eyeshadow can be very tricky to work with.

Once that black is all blended to my liking,  I went in with a light, shimmer berry color and packed that onto the lid.

To brighten up this look a little, I went in with a highlight shade and placed that right under my brow bone. This just gives the smokey eye a little bit of something extra. Another trick to opening up the eyes a little, is to add the highlight shade to the inner corners of the eyes.

To balance out my eyes, on a blending brush, I used that same cranberry shade that I used in my crease,  and ran it under my lash line. I also added some black eyeliner in my waterline.

After that was all completed, I threw on some mascara and a little highlight on my cheeks.  This is my finished look! I hope that you enjoyed it! Smokey eyes are my favorite looks to create.
The pallet that I used for this tutorial is the Morphe X Kathleen Lights Pallet.

Ariana Grande inspired makeup look!

Are you guys dying right now? I am, I can’t believe how amazing this makeup look has turned out! Today I was inspired by Ariana Grande, in her new music video “side to side”. I am really obsessed with that song and video. If you haven’t seen the video and would like to, I will link it here for you! I know, I’m a good friend!

I hope that you all enjoy this look, it’s pretty easy to work with. I only used two colors! I know, crazy right?! Just make sure that your blending game is on point!

Our main focus is our eyes, today I am using Totally Fetch from the TooFaced Pretty Rebel pallet and Radiance  from Makeup Geek. Radience is the darkest purple in my Sephora Z pallet.

What you are going to do is, pick up the hot pink shade on a flat shader brush, add some fix plus or get your brush wet, and apply that all over the lid.

Wetting the brush is just going to give the hot pink a lot more pigment. You really want it to pop! When you apply that pink on the lid, it doesn’t need to look good at first. Just make sure and cover the entire lid.

Then grab a blending brush and just start blending up to the crease! I usually blend until my hand starts to cramp up, put some more of the shade on the lid and then blend some more! Build that intensity to your liking.

After I have blended to the gods, I took some of the purple and started blending it on the outer corners of my eyes. Blend, blend, blend.

Once the blending is finished, I like to go in with some concealer and clean up the edges, so that pink isn’t all over the place.

Then throw on some falsies, a nude lip this look is done! I am wearing Velvet Teddy by Mac on the lips. I told you, cute and simple! I am wearing some falsies from Forever 21. I honestly like these lashes more than the Adelle ones! They are thicker and have awesome styles!

Well there you have it! This Ariana Grande inspired makeup look! I hope that you loved it! Be sure and follow my social media for more sneak peeks! I have created a Facebook page, you should for sure go like it! Link is here! I love you all and hope that you have a blessed night.

You’re Welcome.

Why hello there, didn’t expect to hear from me so soon? Just wait, I promise that it’s worth the read. Doing what I do best, I bought a couple of make up products and need to share them with you. Yes… I said need. The first product is the Urban Decay Moondust pallet. The second is Becca Cosmetics and Jaclyn Hill collaboration, split pan. What a mouth full.

Can we just take a minute to talk about how Jaclyn Hill has been killing it with her Becca collaboration? For those of you who don’t know who she is, you must be living under a rock. Jaclyn creates beauty videos on YouTube and you need to take a couple of minutes to watch one. You will just fall in love with her personality and her eyes. It is mind blowing to think that she started out poor, filming in front of her refrigerator, to having her face in Sephora. That just proves that you can do anything that you set your mind to. She is so passionate about everything that she does and puts so much heart and soul into EVERYTHING. The drive that she has is just unreal.

If you are a makeup junkie like me, then I bet that you have had your eye on these bad boys just as much as I have. If you are going back and forth, telling yourself that you have enough make up, keep reading this post. I promise, you will change your mind. Makeup just seems to make people happier. Well…. me happier anyway.

Here is the magic outside of their package. The Becca packaging is so sleek and professional, the gold just ties everything together. The Moondust is so glittery and fun! It has a magnetic open and close for easy access, which I love.  Both are gorgeous…. I know, but as gorgeous as that is, that isn’t the best part. AHHHHHHHHHH!! Just imagine Celine Dion singing your favorite song in the world and opening a treasure chest full of diamonds. Best day ever, right? Bright, bold and beautiful. Every shade in the pallet and the split pan, swatch like a dream. They are buttery, smooth and are highly pigmented. Everything that I look for in makeup and more.

The Moondust pallet is really out there with the color choices. I absolutely love them. This is not your everyday color selection, I think that is why I am so in love with it. It is completely different from any other pallet in my collection. Glitter eye shadows have been making their way around Instagram and Facebook a lot lately. If you are not really into glitter, I wouldn’t recommend this pallet, other than to look at. Come on, who doesn’t love to look at glitter?

Here are a few pictures of the color swatches up close. From top to bottom; Specter, Element, Magnetic, Light Year.

Granite, Lithium, Vega, Galaxy.

Prosecco Pop and Amaretto.

The Split pan is an amazing creation! It gives you a highlight and a blush that just compliment each other so well. Prosecco Pop is a highlighter that Jaclyn has created with Becca Cosmetics and the collection is limited edition. So, if you don’t have at least one item from the collection, I would hurry up and get something! I wish they created a full size pan of Prosecco, I just want to drench myself in it! Ugghh, I can’t get enough. Hopefull they have already started working on it. Let’s continue, I could ramble about this product all day.

Question of the day: Have I convinced you yet?

Good, now get up and go get them! If you already have either of these products, I would really love to hear your thoughts. There is nothing better than a conversation discussing makeup (I’m serious). Feel free to post a photo of you and the look that you have created with either or both products. Here is a look that I created with the Moondust pallet. I used Light Year and Vega as my main focus point. I tried really hard to make it an ombre look , I promise that I will get better at it.

Congratulations! You have made it to the end of this post. I told you that it was going to be worth it. I am looking forward to reading your comments. If there is a specific color that you would like me to create a makeup look with, make sure and leave it for me. Thank you for sticking around and letting me talk about my favorite things. I hope that you have the best day!
